But I can live with that, as I do have a few other small pieces in the house that have a reddish touch: bar stools back piece, a board with hooks for hanging coats, and a hallway mirror. So there is that. But I would have preferred a dark brown and black desk to match the rustic doors throughout my home, as well as the wooden shades I recently had installed on my office/den windows. The desk delivery was speedy and arrived in two pieces, on two separate days, but it wasn't an issue. The item was packed well, and was very straightforward in the assembly instructions. There weren't many ways to screw it up. The desk works as it should, and the motor that extends its height is whisper quiet. It's sleek, and looks way more expensive than it was. The one caveat is the desk's center drawer. There is no front drawer pull, nor is there any fingerhold underneath. I find myself having to reach under the top of the desk to pull the drawer out from behind. Some type of fingerhold underneath, towards the front would've been nice. Or better yet, some push-to-release mechanism where you push it to close, and push it again to release it to open. Overall, I'm very happy with the desk.. Tom. Mequon, WI. Sun Dec 07 2025
